2nd Annual Mental Health Awareness & Fitness Day
April 22, 2023

Join us for a day of Awareness, Fitness and Fun!

Do you know someone who suffers from depression or someone who has died by suicide? Our goal for this event is to spread the word, break the stigma, and let everyone know it’s ok to talk about Depression and it’s ok to get help. Let’s make this a great day in honor of all those that suffer from depression and those that have died by suicide!

Get a partner and hit REGISTER to sign up for the crossfit partner workout. We have a scaled division for anyone who wants to participate; you don’t have to be a crossfitter.

OR sign up for the 1 Mile Awareness Walk. There is something for everyone!

BECOME A FUNDRAISER
 – you don’t have to be at the event to join in for a great cause. Start a fundraising page in someone’s honor and ask friends and family to donate on your behalf. Click register and “become a fundraiser” to get started!

If you are doing the workout and raise $400 or more, you’ll get a refund on your entry fee!

Why Presby Psych? It is a non-profit Mental Health Resource.  Through their community outreach programs, Presby Psych provides pro-bono and financially assisted mental health care for first responders and their families, healthcare workers, residents of the YWCA Central Carolinas Women in Transition Program, and individuals in need of low-fee psychotherapy.

In 2021, Covid disrupted so many lives. Presby Psych provided 12,000 hrs of psychotherapy, 15% more than 2020.  Their free and financially assisted therapy for police officers, firefighters, dispatchers, and all healthcare workers was crucial, increasing almost 30% more over 2020.

Their Outreach program is a crucial element to our community and they need help to sustain the program.  Their Executive Director, Mary Gail Frawley-O’Dea believes in our mission to eliminate the stigma of depression and suicide, and with help like ours, they are doing everything in their power to save one life at a time.
